W.I.A.W. is here again!

So last week I think I overestimated my extra 1 cup of veggie intake a day... I'm not sure if I did it yesterday... I'm thinking not.  But the other days of the week for sure!  My food intake started healthy yesterday... then... well... it was rainy... it was snowy... it was cold... and I was coming off of a long weekend.  Then, I caved.

I had my usual green smoothie to start the day...

Orange creamcicle!

The usual suspects... kale, spinach...

followed up with 1/4 avocado, 1/2 banana, 1 orange, frozen mango, vanilla protien powder and water to thin.

When I got to work I made an almond milk cappuccino.

I had a snack of peanut butter on dates... tastes way better than they look... in fact the picture was so terrible I decided not to post it.

Then Dan called and said "What are you doing for lunch?" - Not having a set workout planned and not really looking forward to my cold lunch - I agreed to go to one of our favourite restaurants - Bollywood Bistro in Guelph.

We shared some pakoras to start - I love these although they are deep fried and by no means healthy - even if it is cauliflower.

We also shared the vegetarian platter.  Today it was a white pumpkin and coconut curry - which was amazing and dal - which I forget the kind but still good.  The dessert was yogurt something but we both skipped it because we were way to full.

When I got home tonight it was snowing - boo.  I was going to make a low G.I. pizza, but didn't feel like it.  I switched my dinner plans to vegetarian chili.  I made a smiliar version to my dark and smokey chili minus the dark and smokey (no cocoa or coffee).  It was still really good.  The only problem I had was the chili wasn't thickening as much as I would have liked.  I decided to add some bulk by tossing in some ground flax seed.  That totally did the trick!

After my yoga class I had some bengal spice tea... then I raided the kids Easter baskets..

Thanks for sharing girls ;-)
