
Well - it's Wednesday again... so let's get to it....
The day started with another smoothie...
this one banana, spinach, protein powder, pineapple and frozen berries with water to thin. Not too bad, but not my favourite.
Once I got to work - the usual cappuccino with almond milk.
Then mid-morning I was starving and I had forgotten that I was meeting some friends for a late lunch. I grabbed what I thought was a relatively healthy quick snack - almonds and started eating them.
Then I looked at the nutrition label on the back - yikes! I had eaten about half the bag so I decided to wrap the rest of the bag and use them in a recipe later.
For lunch - which was out - I had a veggie burger with soy cheese. This was a quinoa and chick pea burger and a side salad. The burger was just ok - it was squishier than I like my veggie burgers so it was rather difficult to eat neatly. Thankfully I was having lunch with people who love me unconditionally... and they've seen me eat before ;-)
Dinner was veggie chili topped with Greek yogurt, cheese, avocado and tomato. Unfortunately it was so hot I burnt my mouth... repeatedly. Duh! I also had pumpernickel toast with this - but no picture. I also had another side salad with this - trying to get those extra veggies in... you can almost see them beside the chili.
Veggie Chili...be still my heart! Looks fantastic. I am visiting from WIAW. It is my first week here and I am so impressed by everyone's awesome food choices. Jana
